Aura: Destratos - Small animals generally no larger than a rabbit feel the presence similar to that of being watched by a predator. Distraught the animals generally stand still and then flee. Generally weak, but with a multitude of animals around can cause a sudden silence and then an uproar of movement. A prime example is a sudden swarm of bees.

Halfling Body: Medium height but with compact muscles at 5'7. Skin clear of blemishes and freckles. The black feathered fork shaped tail known to his animal species rests above the waistband. Bears the sleek wings of his animal. The back feathers are black with the inside feathers white. Random feather protrusions are strewn about his body. His fingers/toes are normal but the nails are pointed notably like talons.

o2. Is him meeting an old magus and being taught by him really such a secret or just something nice to know? The same applies for him working at a bookstore.

They're secrets, he's embarrassing about both. He hates Magus so its embarrassing to have been taught by one and he kept the Magus as a secret cause he prides on having lived alone most his life.

He doesn't want anyone knowing he works at a book store because since he finds reading/writing womanly although he enjoys it so much. Which also ties in with learning to read.

But since secrets should be like weaknesses I suppose, I added another one
