Self-training: There are two methods Leon utilizes to train himself in curses, or the dark arts. One method is locating and studying ancient Dark books that detail upon various curses used by previous Hexxers. However, these books are not easily discovered. The second method connects with locating books: learning. Even when Leon finds a book, it takes time, patience, and understanding to utilize it correctly. Additionally, the power behind curses is motivation. A curse is improved significantly when the Hexxer's motivation increases, not for revenge or any equal feeling, but the sadistic desire. From the time Leon started his journey into the dark arts, the tolerance was low. But with greater exposure and dedication, the desire to kill and maim grows.

Primary Usage: Leon is exceptionally adapt in hand-to-hand combat, which comes as no surprise. His ability to morph his body parts into lethal weapons is used sparingly, however, for the entity's unrealistic, bloodthirsty desire can overtake his entire anatomy. Whenever in close combat, he prefers a primary weapon that can quickly dispatch the target. He can form nearly any part of his body, e.g. arms, legs, stomach, into talon-like claws or a gaping jaw aligned with fangs, just to name a few. As efficient as the versatility of his arsenal is, the more he swaps in and out makes him more vulnerable to being possessed, thus less focused.

Leon uses Blood Hex more in battle than Dark Magic, which takes more concentration and preparation. Blood Hex is used in dispatching his target(s) as well, but in a more gruesome and sacrificial manner. By tasting a small sample of the target's blood, he can create a physical link between the two. Whatever damage is done to himself, whether it be a punch or cutting off a body part, occurs to the person as well. Leon is not immortal, though, so he resorts to this ability with another animal or person. The sacrifice must be alive in order for this ability to work effectively. Dark Magic works in a different manner, but with near similar results. It consists of temporary or permanent hexing and cursing to a person or people. The preparation requires supplies, time, and patience. Depending on the curse or hex, there is also the need for a full name, a larger supply of blood, and amongst other personal artifacts. Whether Leon wants to hurt, disable, or kill heavily affects what needs to be done.
