Deceptive Blade Summoner. - - - KENTOU seiichi GENKAKU "Where other men blindly follow truth, remember: Nothing is true. Where other men are limited, by morality or law, remember: Everything is permitted."
&. ALIAS: Ken/Sei(-chan/san/kun), Kenny, Ken-Ken, Kensei, and whatever else people can possibly come up with.
&. AGE: Nineteen
&. GENDER: Male
&. SEXUALITY: Homo ja nee! *cough* Heterosexual
&. STATUS: Single since birth
☆ Friendly…Or at least tries to be with most people he’s just met for the first time. Not the kind who is overly talkative and open though, but the one that doesn’t mind hanging around with others, and seemingly opens himself to them. He enjoys having people around, especially those he thinks he can play a few harmless tricks on. ☆ Open-Minded…especially to any ideas he would deem as fun or amusing, he does appreciate it when people speak their minds. An excellent listener, he also takes criticisms pretty well granted they are said in a nice way. ☆ Stoic…in a good way that is. He tries not letting anything negative affect him too much, instead taking it while keeping a level-head. Though people may mistake him to be unfeeling because of this, this trait becomes mostly strength in the face of adversity. ☆ Observant…which is one trait he trained himself to gain in order optimally use his magic. His great eye for detail helps him in recreating the phantom forms of objects to the smallest detail. Still, this also means he is rather aware of his surroundings, able to read certain situations and act accordingly. ☆ Caring…an admirable trait, yet one which he is not so willing to show to others too much. Despite how cold he can seem to be at times, he does show some concern to those around him, especially when he knows they are in deep danger. Usual targets of his acts of kindness: women and children. ☆ Athletic…or at least seems to be. Since his magic entails him to fit at a distance, he trained himself a bit so he can move around better in battle and avoid direct combat. His reflexes, nimbleness and stamina have been trained to a point he could be considered a top athlete, making it easy for him to run away when a situation gets too dangerous
★ Lazy…perhaps his worst, yet most favorite trait, Kentou prefers not doing anything physically strenuous, even though his talents tend to shine more there than in magic per se. If he’s not having fun, he prefers lazing around somewhere while watching the sky, if not napping. ★ Greedy…simply put, he does not like doing charity. If someone wants him to do something for them, they better be sure they have a nice reward for him later. Of course, giving him something beforehand is enough to get him motivated to do a request. He does not take “IOUs” though. There are a few circumstances he’d play the nice guy though. ★ Enigmatic…A.K.A. having the tendency of never showing how he truly feels in front of other people nor what may be on his mind to keep himself a complete mystery. He usually tries to keep a neutral if not smiling face on himself, especially at times when he is actually feeling rather distressed or angry. He’d never tell people how he might truly feel about them, whether it was a good thing or a bad one. ★ Opportunistic…a trait somewhat linked to his greedy nature, he would always jump at any opportunity given to him if he knows its for the best. Although this may not sound so bad, it could go as far as using other people for his own personal gains, disregarding their lives and feelings to satisfy himself. ★ Prankster…though nothing that would really harm a person. He enjoys using his magic to play little tricks on people, especially those who are unaware of the nature of his powers. It his source of entertainment, yet those who are targeted may not find them as amusing. ★ Perverted…though not to a point that its very obvious and he’d try groping/harassing any girl he sees. He is still a guy, and having those kinds of thoughts every now and then is still somewhat normal, especially when he sees women he thinks are a little too cute or attractive. Needless to say, one of his greatest weaknesses is women, easily manipulated by those he becomes attracted to.
✓ Swords, more specifically katanas ✓ Anime/Manga/Video Games ✓ Any girl he thinks is cute/attractive ✓ Playing small pranks ✓ Taking midday naps
✕ All animals with too much fur/lengthy fur ✕ Male Shifters with above trait ✕ “Traps” AKA guys who look like girls ✕ Alcohol due to intolerance ✕ Being awoken from said naps
♡ Kanaduchi: Literally meaning ‘iron hammer’, its also a word to describe those incapable of floating in water. Due to a traumatizing experience he had when he was younger, Kentou is incapable of swimming. Because of this, he usually only stays in/near shallow waters, and never dare venture into anything deeper than his height. ♡ Closet Otaku: Indeed he is into such things such as anime, games and the like, enough to make him go for frequent trips to Akihabara to indulge himself with his hobby. Unfortunately, due to the stigma of being one, he tries not to let people onto his little passion. ♡ Deathly Allergies: Wanna know why he hates anything and everything with excessive fur? Simple: he’s allergic to them in the worst way possible, where being extremely near them for an extended amount of time could result to his death. Although he can manage to suppress symptoms using medicine, he tries to not rely on them too much. Thankfully, he has an 'innate radar’ to avoid such animals, the male sneezing every time there is one several feet within his proximity.
» A black eye patch…though not worn often, he does put it on if he’s been creating illusions for an extended period of time, his right eye usually taking longer to revert back to its normal state when used too long. » A eyeglasses…an article often seen on his when he’s lounging around at home watching TV, using a computer or playing video games. The only time he is ever seen wearing this outside is when he is making a trip to Akihabara.

- Miscellaneous Talents: Average (2)
Combination: Illusionary Blade Works…an ability which he utilizes fully in combat, a product of practice between the two disciplines he sought to pursue. Before knowing the nature of the skill though, one must first understand his very own capabilities with his two spell types.
Kentou is able to conjure what is known to be sword familiars of the katana type, a category of spectral weapons that can be called out to do fighting for the sake of their summoner. The swords themselves are possessed, often by the ghosts of their past wielders and even creators, eventually driving the weapon to make it seem like it has a life of its own. With his current level, he can only call out two at a time to do his bidding, but can continuously summon them for as long as he has enough mana. And just like a phantom that it is, they often floats around the summoner, only attacking when he gives them a command like soldiers waiting on the orders to charge from their general, yet unable to move too far from his line of sight. The weapons themselves are being controlled like a unit, Kentou synching his mana with that of the spirit as if making it an extension of himself, forcing them respond to his own reactions and emotions while using them as if he himself has them in his hands. Due to his lack of talent in swordplay, he doesn’t bother using them himself, not wanting to risk rushing up close to an enemy when he knows he can play it safe. Distance itself is also a problem though, for his control weakens the farther away his swords are. Maximum distance for control would be roughly 8-10 feet, depending on his concentration.
As for the illusion aspect of his powers, Kentou can apply what he describes as ‘deceptive projections’, a power which toys with the senses into perceiving things that are not really there. Although a very useful technique in itself, he can only apply the most basic principles, tricking only the most widely used sense people rely on everyday: sight. Using simple illusions, he can make people believe a certain item is present before them. ‘Seeing is believing’ after all, yet this magic twists that concept slightly to make people seem foolish. Still, the object can merely be seen by those he puts under the influence, triggered instantly by sharing eye contract with his right eye which turns azure when he activates the spell. And though this may seem like a crafty and dangerous magic, its major flaw is its very nature. It only tricks the eyes, yet one who had trained all their sense optimally (such as very devoted warriors, or those with animal-like senses) would be able to see through this little ploy. Even the blind would have a greater advantage since they are already devoid of sight. They are merely visual illusions, yet are not perceived by any other sense. If one can sacrifice their sight yet use efficiently the other senses, they can easily discern his illusion as what they are. Of course, a person with a good eye would also notice that the illusions are shadowless, but they only truly works when there is adequate light around.
Knowing what the nature of his power is, just how does he apply them both within the realms of combat? Keep in mind of the phrase “Illusions in reality, and reality within illusions.” When he fights opponents, he does indeed summon swords to attacks his opponents, but not all would appear as it would seem. What could be flying at a target could very well be a real sword, but it can also be an illusion, just like what seems to be him summoning five swords would actually be only two. Now even though one does know that the sword could be fake, it would not be easy to tell in the midst of battle, especially when attacks can become relentless at times. The skill itself applies another concept to it after all: fear. It is a fact that majority would be deathly afraid of being cut by a sword, and would want to defend themselves if by chance one would be swung their way. It is a natural defensive instinct, one which this very combination plays with. Fear clouds the senses, making people do irrational things before they actually realize it. By not knowing whether or not an attack would be real or not, they constantly have to keep their guard up, lest they can make instant timely observations before an attack hits, a feat in itself which may take years of training and experience. This is Illusionary Blade Works: the creation of swords amidst visual deception.
Secondary Usage: As stated above, his abilities with either of his magic is rather limited, only seeming to be complex when used together. As far animancy goes, he only he has no real relevant uses for it besides ‘sword summoning’. Though one of the animancy class, he is unable to call out more dynamic and mystical beings, his capacity only limited to what he has now, yet a result born from his laziness to advance any further in the art. If not in battles, his swords do have some usefulness, but only limited to situations he needs to cut something. Whether it be slicing apples to make it easier for him to eat or cutting paper when scissors are not nearby, as long as it is something they can do, he would rely on his swords.
On the other hand, illusions seem to have a more useful role to play, utilizes to play minor and usually harmless tricks on people for his personal amusement. Since people often rely on their vision, he tends to use this to his advantage and makes them see things, often objects or visions that scare or startle others. Since projection itself is one of the most basic forms of illusion magic, it is easy to toy around with people by using them, especially on the most unsuspecting of people who are unaware of his powers. A more random application for his illusions is simply a means to communicate also, utilizing images he makes people see to explain things when verbal descriptions are inadequate.

R E V I S E;
Animancy does as it says, darling, summon creatures to his bidding - not blades. If you wish to summon blades of some of that sort then it is recommended that you change it into alchemy.
