JAZZY WEASLEY ?! @ CAUTION 2.0 ♥ Damaris wasn't the biggest fan of Vildia. If she had to choose a least-favorite place, the magi city would certainly be it. There wasn't a single aspect of the metropolis that didn't irritate her; from the hustle and bustle of the overcrowded streets to the arching towers and castles that tried to imitate the lands of Sidhe, every moment in Vildia put Damaris more and more on edge. But she had a reason for coming that overruled any discomforts Vildia instilled in her; Eternals almost never visited Vildia, to the best of her knowledge. Perhaps they didn't like weakening their powers to visit the world of magi that they had once been part of. Perhaps they wanted to maintain their mysterious aura and legends among the magi, and stayed away to keep up their reputation. Damaris snorted. All Eternals are pompous fools, she thought acidly. I'm older than half of them, and I don't mope around complaining about boredom and apathy. They let all that power get to their heads. Especially whichever one rescued me a few nights ago. A faint look of horror crossed her face and she quickly amended the thought. I mean, he didn't rescue me! I was just having some momentary difficulties, that was all.
As Damaris strolled down the street, heedless of the people around her, the crowd swarmed out of her way. The effect was subtle, but a result of the fae's aura of prestige and beauty. Never one to go halfway, especially in matters of clothing, Damaris had personally picked out her outfit from her closets. The fae was over three thousand years old and had seen many fashion trends bloom, wither and revive over her lifetime. She found great amusement in wearing vintage clothes when a paticular fad came back around, and today was no exception. Her pale pink dress was made of the most exquisite silk, ruffled along the hem and tied up with an enormous bow in the back. Baring her porcelain shoulders and a hint of cleavage, she had finished off the selection with elbow long black gloves and a tilted hat that was adorned with flowing white ribbon. The outfit had been comissoned for her in 1856; basic magic kept the materials as fresh and well-tailored as the day they had been made.
Finally settling on a place to eat, Damaris stepped into an elegantly furnished cafe. The building was spacious and open to the air, but shielded by wards that kept the noise and stench of the street out. A server inclined his head to her (this was the only place Damaris would eat in when she visited Vildia, and she was a well known patron to the regular staff) and escorted her to her favorite table. Lowering herself onto the chair, she adjusted her skirts and took off her hat, placing it on the glass surface of the table. Wrought by some down-on-his-luck magi, the table was engraved with carvings of fantastical creatures (a few fae among them, Damaris always noted with pleasure) who marched across the length and width of the table, conducting great adventures, while the customer waited for their food to be served. Ignoring the table for right now, Damaris gazed out the window for some people-watching as the front door opened and a soft chime of magical notes announced a new arrival.

Sidius wouldn't shy away from such down-time, often visiting libraries or finding himself taking a relaxing stroll in the city. Generally, not confiding himself to a single activity Sidus would engage in whatever typical thing a fellow Magi his age would indulge themselves into. However, today wouldn't be one of those days - he had much else to do and wanted to take a trip to the human world at a later time in the night, but there was a place that he wanted to stop and relax at before he did.
There was this wonderful cafè that he just enjoyed going to. In fact, he was a well-known patron of this fine establishment. He would often take friends and family here, but they sadly couldn't appreciate the place like he could. The artistic magic used in the place gave it a certain feel that made Sidius feel at home, and the cappuccino they made was great too.
Finally arriving at the door, Sidius had been welcomed like no other; this man was well-known around these parts, as previously stated, and he was the Wizard of Light. In fact, once they saw him step in the door they would offer him a seat and seeing as he wasn't picky he wold be placed right in front of a young woman.
"The usual, please." He would say to the waiter in his sugar-coated tone before he would grab a menu. "Of course, Sidius." The conversation would end with the two smiling at each other and the waiter going off to make that cappuccino Sidius had asked for.
Looking up, he had noticed the woman in front of him as another patron. "How is it that two very good customers to this establishment have never spoke?" He asked boldly from his table, crossing his legs and relaxing. "My name is Sidius, and you are?" In a welcoming tone he had introduced himself, waiting for her to reply.

EXTRASTUFF damaris is a snob :] and no problem~! TEMPLATE BY MRS. JAZZY WEASLEY ?! @ CAUTION 2.0 ♥ Damaris was endlessly fascinated by mortals. As she gazed out the window, her thoughts jumped from person to person in the crowd. A child, clinging to his mother's hand, stumbling as the jostle of people buffeted him. Damaris remembered her own younger years. When she was barely forty, her mother had debuted her at the Seelie Court, giving her a pair of heirloom earrings to wear. Unconciously, Damaris' hand rose to her left ear, thumbing the purple quartz gem that hung there. The earrings she wore now had been a gift from her beloved husband, but the pain she felt was for both her husband and her mother. For an everlasting fae, the people she loved seemed to die so easily. But that was such a long time ago. Pushing the emotions back, Damaris turned her gaze back to the cafe just in time to see a waiter escort a man to sit in the seat across from her.
The Seelie pushed back a harsh retort as the waiter took the man's order, moving with a casual grace that said the man dined here often. What a pity. If he had been a lesser known customer, perhaps she could have had him evicted. As it was, Damaris suspected the only servers in this restaurant who remembered her great status were either in their graves or doddering with age. Her notion of “frequent patronage” was often once or twice per mortal lifetime. The man who served her now did not know the details, just that Damaris was to be served with great care. No matter. She curved her coral lips in an exquisite smile as the man introduced himself. He must have been a magi, and high ranking, in order to dine at this restaurant so freqently. To the best of Damaris' knowledge, shifters didn't often eat here, and the menu was far too expensive for regular citizens of Vildia. This was the cafe of nobility—quite literally, seeing as Damaris was in it.
“A grave shame indeed,” Damaris said, folding her black-gloved hands in her lap. “Sadly however, I'm afraid this is my first chance to dine here in quite a while. I've been away from Vildia for sometime now.” The waiter arrived with her tea. She had ordered Jūrokucha, a modern drink she was pleasantly surprised to find the cafe served. She took a drink of the chilled liquid and gave a hum of contentment. At least that useless Eternal had good taste in drinks. “My name is Damaris Ellorian,” she told the magus after setting her cup to the side. “What brings you here today? Business or pleasure?”

Although the wizard wasn't much of an impatient man the waiter knew he had more things to attend to rather than to wait. Ah, the cappuccino smelled wonderfully -- Sidius could smell it as was being brought over to him. The Magi's beverage was placed in front of him while he had presented the waiter with a smile. Before replying to the seemingly young woman in front of him, he had lifted up the small cup from the plate it was on and nodded with a smile as if he were presenting of some sort. He then pressed his lips on the cup, drinking but a sip of his cappuccino; it was warm, yet delicious. The taste of cinnamon being the touch he always truly enjoyed.
"Quite a while? Ah, no wonder why I haven't seen you, but these pictures instead." He had noted, placing the cappuccino down on his small plate. "What brings me here today?" He would repeat shortly after, smirking. "Pleasure, that of course. ~" He would say in a melodic tone. His hand would then move over to his cappuccino again and he would pick up, taking not bit another small sip before speaking again. "And yourself?" He'd ask her kindly.
