Caught in a time of turmoil, the world is finding how truly dependent it really is. Once sheltered from evil by the ever vigilant Sailor Scouts, the world has fallen into the clutches of a mysterious consuming night and the scouts are nowhere to be found. The first steps into this extended night were gradual, so slow that it was as if nothing was changing other than everyone feeling a bit less tired when night fell, but then few locations found themselves in an everlasting night. Most locations have not fallen into an everlasting night yet, but just experiences extremely extended nighttime. As time passes this night seems to spread further and further and there seems to be no help in sight, for the Sailor Scouts haven't shown themselves.
In the absence of the scouts, new young woman, and perhaps even a young man or two, are discovering they themselves are endowed with peculiar power they don't fully understand. It's the birth of the Star Scouts. Along with the rumors of these Star Scouts there are also rumors surrounding Umbraregnum, which is supposedly the evil responsible for the everlasting night.
