Kagami took the ribbon gently and held it in her hand. Her eyes were locked on the small sliver of fabric. It was just a simple ribbon, but it was the very fact that he would even care enough to give her something like that. "Thank you, I'll take care of it," she pulled the ribbon around her neck and tied it under her hair, making a choker.
There was little feeling that she would actually use it, but she was glad that Aiden had given it to her anyway. She relished that she had something that she could call a treasure of hers. It almost felt like the ribbon had the magic of an Eternal in it. "I won't use it unless there is a really big emergency."
Once Skye started talking about his sister, Kagami knew that she needed to be quiet. This was something that was important to him. It actually made her slightly jealous, she knew that she didn't have anyone that she would do that for.
Even though she had started trusting Aiden, she wasn't really sure if he could bring back a dead person. Wouldn't that take a massive amount of magic? And what if the person doesn't want to come back to life? Questions were starting to float around in her head. "Are you really going to try and bring his sister back?"

Aiden listened intently as Skye described his sister. Twenty-one, dark-haired and tall...Sophita. 'S' names had run in the family though. He would have laughed under other circumstances. "You heard that, I know," he said lightly, tilting his head to the side. This was...tiring. Winds all over the world, bending to his will. In the Eternal Realm this would have been fine, easy--not here. The images were hard enough to keep track of, and the sounds were worse. It was a bombardment, and sorting through all the flashes of dark-haired pale-skinned young women the winds brought to him was exhausting. Aiden sat very still. He didn't know how much time had passed before he was done, but when he finished, every muscle ached in exhaustion. It would be hard enough going back to the Endless Realms after that, much less trying to bring the girl back. He just wanted to sleep.
"Sophita, you said?" Aiden asked wearily. The girl he had found went by that name, but she didn't look anything look Skye. She looked broken. Aiden coughed and then turned to Kagami. "It's not a matter of bringing her back, I suppose now, but bringing Skye to her. She's in Japan. She looks.." Aiden reached out one last time to the winds, snatching the one that had carried him the news. One last image, one last snipped of stolen conversation--"She's being hired for a job right now, I believe. She's a mercenary? I'm sorry, that's all I can get from so far away."

Skye watched as Kagami tied the ribbon around her neck. She wore it like a tight necklace, thanking Aiden. It looked nice, he decided, but didn't say anything. He remained quiet, quickly looking back up at the man as he spoke again, feeling anxious.
It did take a few moments, the man giving the concentrated, distant look that gave away that he was using his magic. He wondered if he could really search the world that way. Could he see through the wind? Such a strange power, but it really was impressive. He was unable to imagine what that might feel like, though he almost wished he could see it himself. Maybe he really was an Eternal? He still couldn't quite get rid of the last shred of doubt, but he somehow struck him as genuine, this time. He almost hoped so, now.
It did take a while, but if he did have to search the whole world, he didn't think that was surprising. He felt a tinge of alarm, though, when the man started to look like he was tiring out. Would such a power be exhausting? He had no idea how it worked, but he didn't really want the man to weaken himself so severely over something he doubted would prove to have a point. He tensed, but at the same time, waited hopefully for just a moment longer. Just as he was about to say something, though, Aiden himself suddenly spoke up.
Skye's eyes widened as he continued. "What? She's alive? She's... That's..." He sputtered, his mind suddenly swarming. If he was telling the truth, and somehow the weary look on the man's face made him believe that he was, then...did that mean that he really had found her? But how could that be? He'd believed for so long that she'd been killed. He couldn't get his mind to wrap around the idea that it wasn't true now. That she was alive.
Still... Japan...? Where was that? He'd heard the name of the country before, but he wasn't familiar with the geography of this realm, never really had been. Was it close by? He felt his feet give an anxious shuffle, the boy taking a few steps closer to Aiden.
"Do you mean you actually found her? That she actually is alive?" He still wasn't quite able to believe it. "Where's Japan...? Is it around here? And what's a mer...cen...ary?" He wondered aloud, hoping that either Aiden or Kagami would know the answers. Having to ask made him feel slightly embarrassed, but he hadn't recognized the term the man had just used. Still, if she was alive, that was all that mattered. A part of him couldn't help but wonder why she hadn't come home if that was true, though. She hadn't really abandoned him...had she? No, there had to be a reason... He tried to push the doubt away, still not knowing what to think yet as he waited.

Kagami watched as Aiden concentrated. It seemed that he was using a massive amount of power in order to discover Skye's dead sister. That is, the sister that they all thought was dead. "What?" there was no way she could believe such a thing. Perhaps he had been killed and then brought back to life by another eternal. Maybe she hadn't been killed at all and instead she had killed someone else and that's where Skye's confusion had come from. Her mind was running wild with various ideas of what could have happened, but she kept them to herself as there was no need to tell the others what she was thinking. The best thing that would do would confuse Skye.
After the revelation, Skye asked a flurry of questions. After he stopped, Kagami answered what she could, "Well from what I know, Japan is far east of here. And a mercenary is a person who kills people for money." She was actually slightly envious of people like that, able to break laws legally. Though this was her idea of what a mercenary was, in reality she was thinking of an assassin. The difference was very minute to her and could actually be canceled out.
It was then an idea came to mind, "Does that mean you're going to go to Japan to find her?" It didn't really matter too much if he left or not, but she still wanted to know. She then turned to look at Aiden, "Are you going with him too?" Her eyes conveyed a slight sorrow because she would be alone again, or rather, not that she would be alone, but that they were leaving. These two were the kindest people she had met in a long time. She had even been given a gift by Aiden, something that she would treasure for the rest of her life time.

Breath. That was Aiden's only concern right now. He heard most of what Kagami and Skye were discussing, but didn't reply until he was sure speaking wouldn't make him keel over. This was pretty embarrassing. He shouldn't have been this exhausted from just finding a girl, but staying in the mortal realm for these past couple days was really wearing on him. And he had been born here. Forget embarrassing, this was humiliating. But once he felt grounded, Aiden spoke adding on to what Kagami had already said.
"She's right. Japan is to the east. It's an island nation. I was born there, actually. You'll never be able to fly there in enough time to find her before she's moved. You're going to have to find some way of crossing over with the technology they have here. As a mercenary, she's basically a soldier for hire. She works based off pay, not loyalty."
Aiden considered standing up before deciding that if he did, he'd most likely collapse right back on his ass. Not exactly the most dignified of actions. "Am I going with him?" Aiden thought about his next words. "I don't know. I really have nothing better to do." The rabbit halfling looked a bit troubled by this turn of events. "I'm sure that Skye wouldn't mind having you around, eh? You're fast, aren't you. And helpful."

Skye blinked at Kagami's answers. A mercenary was someone who killed people for money? That sounded kind of scary. What kind of people did they kill? And who payed them for it? He had a hard time picturing his sister doing such a thing, but at the same time, she'd always been much different around him than she had around anyone else...
And Japan was to the far east? He glanced absently in that direction. How far exactly? Could he fly there? He thought for a moment, but just as he was about to reply to Kagami's question a tired sounding Aiden spoke up again, answering his own wandering thoughts.
So it was too far to fly...? He felt a tad disheartened. Boats that traveled on the water were slow, weren't they...? If they had to use technology to get there fast, did that mean he was referring to planes? Those big metal objects that somehow floated in the air...unless they blew up. He cringed, swallowing hard in spite of himself. "Do you mean planes?" He asked aloud, his eyes having widened a bit.
And a soldier for hire? That made slightly more sense, at least.
He blinked back up at Aiden as he spoke again. The man was really considering going with him? Everything had started moving so fast all of the sudden, he had to take a moment to calm his thoughts down before he caught what Aiden was saying to Kagami.
Passing the rabbit halfing a smile, he nodded. It wouldn't hurt having the company of another halfling, he figured. Even though he seemed trustworthy, the idea of being alone with an Eternal still seemed a bit intimidating...he thought, realizing that he believed the man now. "If you want to come, you can."

Kagami smiled as Aiden said that she could go along with them. It wasn't often that people actually accepted, never mind wanted, her company. The very fact that she could go along was them gave her quite a bit of happiness. "Thanks, I'll do what I can to help," even though she said she would help, but she didn't really have any clue what she could do.
She then realized that they would have to find a good way to get to Japan, "So how are we going to get a plane? And don't we need someone to work it for us?" There was no way that she could work any technology, she hadn't had a chance to learn how. Even though Skye said that he had work a television, she didn't know how similar the two objects were.
Of course just going to Japan didn't mean they would be able to find Skye's sister. Well there was no need to worry about that now, instead they had to find a place to get a plane. Maybe Aiden or Skye would know how to find one. For right now, all Kagami would be able to do is follow the two and see what they needed her to do.

So both of them wanted to go, eh? The two of them were almost cute. So young, and energetic. Aiden tried to remember the last time he had been so invested in someone, or something, and failed rather miserably. Ah well. He had this now, which would kill a good few days, and maybe even a week if he was lucky. And he'd do some good--he really should try balancing out his karma, just in case he ever did die of boredom (which looked more and more likely with every passing year).
"We have two options," Aiden said, catching their attention. "We can put off the journey til tomorrow morning and let me get some sleep. If we do that, I can probably get all three of us in Japan by next afternoon, at the very latest. Or we can try to sneak onto a plane and be in Japan by tomorrow morning. The plane will be more complicated, but er, I have a contact who could help us out with that." Aiden thought that she would help him out at least. She did owe him one after all, after he had saved her life from that crazy waiter. And she was a Seelie; surely if she saw the kid's innocent little faces she would melt like butter.
“So, what do you want to do, then? It's up to you guys. Either option is fine with me.” notes; if you choose the second option, i'll need my other posting partner to pop in here for just one post to handle the plane business, if that's all right with you! if you want to do the second option without her, just let me know and we can rp it a different way.

Listening to Kagami's questions about the prospect of a plane, Skye's attention turned back to Aiden as he spoke up again, helping to lay things out in this rather last minute endeavour. So...it was either a plane, or waiting a bit, and doing what he figured was most likely riding on the wind there or using some other form of the Eternal's magic. Both sounded a bit scary...he only trusted his own wings, but apparently they wouldn't get him there. At least...not in time to catch his sister if they did at all. If she really was there...he didn't want to miss her.
"Umm..." He briefly glanced back and forth from Kagami and then back to Aiden, trying to sort through the options in his head. He felt antsy to get going now - a restlessness setting in that he knew wouldn't go away until he could either confirm that the sister he'd believed dead for so long was still alive, or that he'd been right all along - and didn't especially favor the idea of having to sleep a night first. And the man had seemed exhausted too, after using the magic to look for his sister to begin with. Even after a night's rest, would he have enough strength back to get them there? But... He recalled what Aiden had said about planes before. Something about large, 'beautiful' explosions. He winced.
"Err..." He sputtered again, still trying to figure out which of the two choices would be the wisest. He wished he could've gotten a good look at a plane before now... He was a bit curious what they looked like...and just how humans made metal fly, but he wasn't sure he would feel comfortable going inside one of the apparently dangerous objects. At the same time, it would get them there faster and might be the easiest.
"What do you think...?" He eventually asked, looking to Kagami. Aiden had already said he was fine with both, so it was likely just up to them. "I could go with either, I suppose." He answered, trying to hide his small bit of nervousness.
Notes: If your RP partner doesn't mind, I'm fine with option two. But I wouldn't mind the first option, either. Whichever you both would rather.

Kagami listened to Aiden as he gave out two options. They were both good options, but she didn't think anything of them. Her opinion was that it was Skye's decision, they were after his sister after all. She turned to look at Skye as he decided. He took his time, it seemed, before he turned to look at her.
"What?" she had been taken completely off guard, never expecting to be given the chance to choose. "Hmm, well...." She thought about it for a little bit. The first option was probably the most simple, but then they would wind up having to run the risk of someone spotting Skye. That wouldn't be good, the last thing that they would want is for some humans to try and catch a bird boy.
The other option seemed a little more... dangerous. Well, danger just made things more entertaining. The thought of getting to ride a plane just sounded too good to pass up even if it meant that things would get complicated.
"I think we should get on the plane and go today! I mean, what if police are still looking for Skye for stealing the necklace from that lady." Kagami let out a small laugh after she gave her reasoning. It sounded stupid even to her, but it was the only thing she could think of to say. "But if you two think we should wait until tomorrow, than I guess I'm out voted."
Her only real reason for wanting to go today was the chance to ride the plane. It wasn't like she had a real preference either way, but she gave her opinion. She wouldn't be disappointed if they didn't listen to her.

"And the lady decides," Aiden ground out, heaving himself to his feet. He wavered for a moment (very minutely, he concluded. It wasn't as if he was really tired.) before gripping his Valkyrie Spear and leaning on that. "The plane it is. Just let me make a phone call and we'll be out of here." Turning around, Aiden began to walk the way he had flown in, back towards the city proper. He expected that the kids would follow him, after all this--where else would they go? It was odd after so long, to have people depending on him.
After a few minutes of wandering dazedly up and down the streets, Aiden found a pay-phone. Slipping inside the booth, he scanned the pedestrians outside, making sure no one was watching. They weren't--no one cared about a stranger making a phone call. Satisfied, Aiden placed his hand on the receiver. A few jolts of magic and one wave of crippling exhaustion later, he placed a call to the Seelie Court. The conversation that followed must have been rather strange for Skye and Kagami, who could only hear one end.
"Yeah, yeah, I wanna talk to the Duchess? What do you mean, who am I? I'm an Eternal you blasted fool, now let me speak to her."
A moderate pause of silence, before someone else spoke on the line, and Aiden's tone grew rather smug.
"Oh hello there. You'll never guess where I am. Germany. Again. I'm sure you remember Germany quite fondly, since we met each other there--"
"Woman, I don't have for your royal pretensions. This is a crisis."
Whoever was on the other line talked steadily for five minutes--Aiden's face grew redder with either anger or embarrassment each moment.
"Look! You're not doing this for me, if that's what bothers you so much! Think of the kids! The hope of the future." Aiden fell silent for a moment, before grinning. "Okay, that's great. We'll meet you in the Marienplatz." Hanging up the phone, he stepped outside the booth, the grin still plastered on his face.
"Well kids, looks like we have a ride to Japan? Ready to get going?" They had better be, because Aiden wasn't hanging around. "She'll get here in a few minutes, so we gotta be at the Marienplatz."

Skye nodded. Marien...platz? He wasn't quite sure where that was, considering he never really had gotten a feel for this area, but he assumed that Aiden knew. He absently wondered who he was talking to, but decided not to ask. Besides, it sounded like they met her at their destination in a few minutes.
So...they really were getting a plane. He tried to imagine what that might be like. What did they look like on the inside? Were they like houses, or were they just big metal tubes? And how many people could they hold? If there were more people aside from them, him and Kagami would have to be really careful to keep their animal features hidden.
Well...he figured he'd find out all those things soon enough. He just hoped they didn't blow up too terribly often. He still couldn't quite make himself believe that such heavy objects could really fly safely. What was it that kept them in the air? They sounded fascinating and intimidating at the same time. Absently, he wondered if his sister had ridden them before. How much time had she spent in this realm? He had no way of knowing. If she really was alive, and if he really did find her, he'd have so many things to ask her!
"So...umm..." He started. "How long will it take to get to Japan once we get on a plane...and are you sure they're safe...?" He scoffed at himself internally, he sounded like such a coward! And a coward who didn't know a whole lot, on top of it. "Will there be lots of other people?"

Kagami pulled up her hood and gently flattened her ears under her hood. The last thing she wanted to do was to make the humans aware of her animal features. Following Aiden back into the city, she stood next to the phone booth, and leaned against it. She could hear what he was saying, but it sounded like he was just talking to himself.
There was a time that there was no speaking for a while. Kagami turned to look in the booth to see if he was still talking to the device, but instead Aiden seemed to have turned bright red. Someone had some good dirt on him and he was getting flustered by it, or so she thought. Once Aiden came out of the booth, he told them that they had to go to Marienplatz. Any idea of what Marienplatz was escaped her. All she could do was nod at his question of readiness.
It was then that she heard Skye ask a question. "Why are you asking if they're safe? Your the one who can just fly out and land safely if you want. It's not like it's some giant metal tube with nothing but locked doors and windows... I think." All she really knew about an airplane was the fact that it was made of metal and people could fly in it. The only mental image she could gain of what it would look like was something similar to a boat with giant flapping wings like a bird.
The more she thought about it, the more the idea worried her. They were going to be riding something that was flying up in the air as high as birds and she couldn't fly herself. If something bad happened she would have to just fall and hope that one of the others would catch her. She managed to hide her fear, even though she was angry at Skye for putting his worries into her mind.

JAZZY WEASLEY ?! @ CAUTION 2.0 ♥ The woman standing in the center of the Marienplatz was not even trying to hide her otherworldy aura. Her clothes alone screamed “Different, different, different!” Where to even begin in attempting to describe her? The knee high soft leather white boots, with raised heels that added on three inches to her petite frame? The odd dress-shirt made of a flowing soft white material? The purple pins she had pinned to the cloth, the wide purple leather belt that cinched the whole contraption at her waist? And that was without even discussing the pink heart daubed on her cheek in face-paint, or the fluffy pompom that nestled in her hair. All of it painted an extraordinarily outrageous picture. Other people in the Marienplatz avoided her, giving the girl a five foot radius at all times, and leaving her with an empty space in the middle of the crowded square.
Of course the girl was no girl in reality; merely a millenia old fae with the twin vices of flamboyancy and pride. No matter what the Eternal claimed, she didn't owe him anything. So what if he had saved her. It was simply a matter of time; she would have gotten away either way, but the Eternal had simply shortened the length of her inconvience. Perhaps she would pretend to forget his name, just to remind him that no matter if his power was greater than her own, she had lived far longer and seen much more in her time. He was just a fleeting visitor in her life, a passing glance on the street. She had never needed anyone, and certainly she wouldn't start with him. Settling on this pleasant train of thought, the Seelie examined herself one last time, making certain that every last bit of cloth was in place, every stand of hair perfectly arranged. Impressions were key after all.
And then she folded her hands at her waist, fixing her gaze on the entrance to the Marienplatz that Aiden and his group would be arriving through. Damaris Ellorian was ready for battle; even if she was the only one who knew that she was fighting.
